PVC does not soak up moisture from rain, dew etc. This ensures a longer life span, as mould and mildew will not grow on and damage the product.

Dirt cannot penetrate the PVC resulting in surface dirt only which can be easily wiped away with water or washed down with a hose pipe.

As the PVC is a rigid material and does not retain moisture; the blinds are aesthetically pleasing when rolled up during favourable weather conditions, as they do not sag.

The joins on the PVC are 20mm wide and high frequency welded whereby the molecules are fused together so there is no chance of the joins separating. The PVC is not stitched, as this tends to weaken the area and it is no longer waterproof.

The PVC is of high quality and has been UV treated – 550 micron for the colour area and 500 micron for the window area. The PVC is interwoven for extra strength. This ensures the toughest possible protection against strong winds and major rain.

50mm Industrial Velcro is used to seal the blinds. PVC Outdoor Blinds have experimented with zips, fasteners etc, but have established that the Velcro is more durable as it does not break or rust.

Various methods are incorporated to seal your area – flaps, pads and boxes with Velcro are used to ensure that your blinds stay in place during adverse weather conditions and do not flap about or allow rain into the area.

Polyester rope is used as opposed to nylon. This does not cut into the blind when rolling it up and down and is gentler on the hands.

All the boxes are encased in PVC of the same colour as the blinds for an aesthetically pleasing finish.

 Important factors to be taken into consideration when comparing quotes

1. The size of the welds. Ours are 20mm wide.
2. The thickness of the clear (window) PVC. Ours is 500 microns which has better clarity and strength which ensures a longer life span.
3. Velcro on the blinds and supports. Ours are 50mm on both and colour coded to match your chosen colour of blinds
